Checco's TeamThe Checco’s in Preston is the second family business to be opened by Prestonian partners Nick Falasca and Samantha Westby. Their son, Marino, is now chef after starting out as a kitchen porter at the age of fourteen. Their daughter Giovanna, waits on tables – a true family affair.

The original Checco’s opened in Great Harwood twenty years ago and it is still going strong. Although the decor and atmosphere has more of a traditional feel, the menu offers the same delicious dishes.

You don’t need to eat to pay a visit. It’s a great place to meet friends and have few cocktails at the start of the night on the town, or even a great spot to have a coffee and relax especially ‘al fresco’ if the weather permits.

Checco's CocktailsThe stylish eatery offers lots of traditional and contemporary Italian dishes. Diners can choose from pasta, pizza, meat and fish dishes including ‘Mamma’s Polpette’, a meatball dish whose recipe has been handed down by grandma all the way from Trivento in southern Italy. Customers can also choose from large selection of specialist wines and Champagnes plus the famous Italian Peroni beer is on draught.

All ingedients are locally sourced and the ever-changing fresh fish specials make the mouth water. Not only we have a dish to suit every taste, Checco’s also prides itself on serving gluten-free pasta.

The restaurant can get very busy, especially at the weekends and although bookings are not always necessary it is advisable to do so.

We are open seven days a week from 12pm and with ample free parking, there is no excuse not to sample Checco’s many delights for yourself.
